Amateur Information

The Wyoming State Open Golf Tournament

The amatuer division of the Wyoming State Open Golf Tournament is a 54 hole stroke play event on July 12th, 13th, 14th and 15th, 2012. Amatuers will be flighted after 36 holes. Flight sizes are determined by the number of entries.

You can submit your entry and payment via snail mail by printing and filling out our Mail-In Form. Amatuer entry fees for the tournament are $250.00; for the tournament and pro-am $325.00 and for the pro-am only $100.00.

Players who have handicaps of 4 or less may opt to play in a separate flight that is paired with the professionals on Sunday, July 15th based on the 36 hole total. Amateurs wishing to play in this flight must indicate their preference on the entry application.

First Place $600.00, Second Place $300.00,

Third Place $200.00, Fourth Place $175.00,

Fifth Place $150.00, Sixth Place $125.00,

Seventh Place $125.00, Eight Place $125.00

Players will be paired by handicap if provided on the entry form; if not players are then paired at random.

The Pro-Am portion of the tournament is held on July 12th, 2012. Teams consist of two professionals and four amateurs.

All amateurs that play in the pro-am must have an established, verifiable handicap. All amateurs that do not have an established, verifiable handicap will play the pro-am at scratch.

Amateurs will be given 80% of their handicap for the pro-am as of June 29th, 2012 and the USGA slope system will be applied.

Entries are taken until the field is full. A cancellation fee of $25.00 applies to all cancellations before June 14th, 2012. No refunds will be made after June 14th, 2012 of entries received before the deadline.

The Wyoming State Open Golf Tournament Committee is committed to protecting both players and spectators and reserves the right to take any action to protect both players and spectators. There will be no refunds or credits issued because of weather related cancellations. In the event of a rain out of one or both pro-ams, winners will be determined by a blind draw.
